Hello,

When someone registers and chooses to check out using a credit card it takes them to a page to complete their credit card information, but this page is not secure. We only need the https: on that one page where Authorize.net is doing the processing. How can we do this?

Hi Scott,

You’ll first need to have your host or a third party install an SSL certificate for your domain if you haven’t already done so. After that’s done we have a guide you can follow to secure the Registration checkout page. Here’s a link to the guide:

When I installed this plugin and followed your instructions to activate the admin area so we don’t have issues with firefox, it wound up crashing my site!

We removed the plugin and reinstalled it and didn’t select the admin option…followed your instructions to load the three critical pages secure and it isn’t working. It is still loading http: instead of https:

What now?

Hi Scott,

There may be another plugin or your theme is conflicting with the WP HTTPs plugin. You can narrow down the cause by temporarily deactivating all the other plugins and temporarily switching to the twenty fourteen theme.

We fixed the issue with the conflict by not selecting the option to put admin into https: However, when we force ssl on the critical pages, it is not causing those pages to go to https

Hi Scott,

It may help to check with the author of the WP HTTPS plugin to find out what they suggest to troubleshoot this, but first it would be good to check to see if the same issue happens with other plugins deactivated/theme set to the WP default to see if there’s a conflict.
