EE4 Attendance limit not working

Hi,

I am trying to configure EE4 to allow for registration for training, where the participants will be mailing in their payment or stopping by the office to pay by credit card. At this time, we are not allow to process payment online. The issue is that if I set the class size to 20, unless payment is received we are showing the registration as not taking a seat. If we change the default registration status to “approved” then they hold a seat, but in the events list in the dashboard, it then shows as paid ( which is an issue). How can we have a payment pending, hold a seat?

I found this:

Pending
The attendee has registered for an event but has not completed payment yet. The attendee is allowed to make a payment to complete the registration. The attendee will not count towards any capacity maximum for the event. Free events will not allow attendees to be marked as Pending.

Is their away around this? This will not work, too many events and registrants not to be able to sort on who has paid and who has not, without over selling events.

Hi,

Those statuses are part of the core and can’t currently be changed but I see another issue with that workflow.

If the pending status did count seats, then how would you prevent someone from reserving all of the seats even though no funds would have been received?

For us, it has never really been an issue ( no shows ). I see the EE3 does what we need, but the invoice is not as good in EE3 (taxes need to be displayed on invoice as separate item).

Hi,

In the event you can set the status to Approved. By approving the attendee, they will count towards the capacity of the event.

To find out who still owes money, you can refer to the Transactions page, as though a customer is approved, they could still owe money for the event and this page will tell you who has or has not paid.
