EE4 4.1.9 Email Messages not sent

Since we began to use EE4, no emails have come from the system to confirm registrations with attendees or to notify administrators of the new registrations.

I have tested with a couple of different email addresses in the admin settings and through test registrations.

WP is the most current release and mail is sent from WP without issue.

Hi Kevin,

Could you let me know if regular WordPress notifications are sent such as new user notification or password resets?

Also, is this shared hosting?

Hi Lorenzo – yes, WP is able to send email fine (user notification / password resets / Wordfence Alerts / etc all arrive fine).

This is a dedicated server.

Hi Kevin,

Could you please install this email audit plugin:

http://wordpress.org/plugins/email-log/

Then could you try resending two or three notifications?

From there, please take a look at the log to let me know if anything is recorded.

Thanks Lorenzo – manually sending the registration information worked fine.

It seems the emails aren’t being triggered properly during registration?

Hi Kevin,

Could you go to the settings page for Messages and turn them off and then turn them back on?

Hi Lorenzo – here’s what I had to do to get things working. In another support message, I talked about how I had problems with EE holding onto the eventespresso.tmp directory name. I deactivated EE, renamed the directory to event-espresso-core-reg.

In PHPMyAdmin, I removed the ee options entry in wp_options (after backing up, of course). I had to reset a few things, but when I reactived the plugin, all of the messages appeared properly in the Messages screen (it had previously been blank).

Looks like we’re good to go. Thank you!
