EE3 – Will the ticket scanning mobile app we have still work?

Hello

I’ve just upgraded EE3 to Version 3.1.37.6.P for our next events which will take place in June 2016.

Summer 2015 & 2014, we used EE3 with the Ticket Scanning mobile app on our android/iPhone devices. It worked well. We want to use the same functionality this year and so don’t want to upgrade to EE4 because our event is in the middle of a field and we have little power to power computers and barcode scanners.

Question is, if I run with EE3 this year using the Event Espress – Ticketing add-on Version 2.2.0.p, will we still be able to use our Mobile App which is still on the phones from last year?

Hi Dee,

Yes, the EE3 ticketing apps should continue to work with the latest version of EE3.

I would however recommend adding a test registration and confirming that you can scan that ticket sometime before your event, just to confirm there’s no issues on your site. It’s better to find the problem now (if there is one 🙂 ) rather than on the day of your event.
