I created two event categories: Workshop and Class
[EVENT_ESPRESSO_CATEGORY event_category_id=”class-1401416806″]
[EVENT_ESPRESSO_CATEGORY event_category_id=”workshop-1400931081″]
on the class registration page, i put in
[EVENT_LIST category_identifier=”class-1401416806″]
however, it shows all events.
can you advice?

Hi Karen,
Not all of the EE3 shortcodes are compatible with Event Espresso 4.
Please update your category shortcodes to this format:
[ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=”free-events”]
You can go to Event Espresso –> Events –> Categories and then copy and paste the pre made shortcodes.
Event List is not available but you can also use the update shortcode above to display a list of events within a category.
WP-admin –> Event Espresso –> Help & Support has available shortcodes for EE4.

the short codes did not work when i reloaded page first time.
however, when i tried it in a while, it worked eventually.
Is there any delay for new category to take effect?
or is there any setting on my browser to set?

Hi Karen,
The shortcodes should run immediately. Are you running any caching plugins on your site such as W3 total or WP super cache?
