EE3 Registration Confirmation Emails Not Sending

It was sending them fine just a few days ago, and can’t think of any configuration change that would have interrupted normal functionality. I installed Email Log and they show up there, as well as installed WP-Mail-SMTP and tried both localhost and an external SMTP.

All other site emails are functioning properly, including EE emails for payment confirmation, emailing all attendees, payment reminder, and admin notice. EE > General Settings has both email confirmation boxes ticked, and no fancy headers.

WordPress version WP 3.9.1
Email Log by Sudar version 1.7.4,
WP-Mail-SMTP by Callum Macdonald version 0.9.5

Hi, is this happening with all emails or just a certain domain?

A member posted a while ago that emails were working except for hotmail domains.

I tried multiple email addresses from multiple domains with no luck. I believe the reg conf emails were halted at the outgoing email server, but why I still don’t know. Mandrill has been installed and seems to have fixed the issue, but i’m still flummoxed as to why the email server would have rejected the reg conf emails in particular. Is there something in the body of those messages that would make the outgoing mailservers think they were spam? I don’t have immediate access to the mail config unfortunately.

Hi Jeffrey,

There shouldn’t be anything in the default email that would flag the email as spam, but every server is different and some have harsher spam detection filters.
