EE3 Not Working on Website, after WordPress update

On my site editing page,I see a note at the top saying “an automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update again”. I’ve been trying for 6 hrs and no success. Meantime,the EE plugin has disappeared from my WordPress menu and on my website, I only see the EE coding. Under Installed Plugins I only see EE Calendar, Recurring Events, Social Media, and SSL/HTTPS. Should I not be seeing EE3 here as well?
