EE3
I’m still using EE3 because it suits my needs & I only run one event per year.
Last year the email system all worked perfectly with EE3.

This time, the clients (nor myself, when I test with myself as a client) are receiving any confirmation or re-send registration details (via Event Overview >> Client Details >> Resend…)

However, I can receive test emails in the main WP section. (Settings>>Advanced Email Options >> Test Email.) And we (clients and I) are receiving PayPal emails.

I have followed the tips that I have found here for EE3 but I’m still having no success. eg Ticked send emails, Send before (and after) payment has been received. Tried emails eg name@ and admin@…. bla bla

Given that I only run one event per year, and the system has previously worked, I am reluctant to set up eg Mandrill but that may have to be the next step if people think it will work.

Any suggestions to help save my sanity? 😉
Thanks
Mick

Hi Mick,

Here are a few troubleshooting steps:

1) You install an Email Log plugin and check for errors after a failed email send attempt. Here’s the one I use:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/log-emails/
2) You make sure that there’s only one valid email address in the Event Espresso > General Settings > Primary contact email field.
3) You set the Use fancy email headers? setting to No in the Event Espresso > General Settings > Email Settings box.

Thanks for your fast reply. I have set up the email log but not really sure (amateur user) what I am looking for.
Am I looking for something obvious or should I proceed with setting up the Google Analytics section too?
Thanks heaps.
Mick

Hi Mick,

I recommend setting up a free transactional email service as it will benefit your entire WordPress site since all emails will flow through that service.

Here is a step-by-step guide for SendGrid:

Also, is your software up to date (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/change-log/)?
