EE3 Invoices

We are using EE Version 3.1.36.5.P and using the invoice option as well. On the Espresso_Payment page, when one clicks “If you wish to pay by invoice, then please make note of the information above and click to Complete” nothing happens. It just refreshes the page. Shouldn’t it send you to a confirmation page and send the confirmation email?

Hi Olivia,

Clicking the ‘Complete your Registration’ basically closes you PHP ‘Session’ and when using offline payments such as Invoice, will reload the page.

Regarding the confirmation email, if you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Email Settings. You’ll find the option ‘Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received?’ if that is set to No then the confirmation emails will only be sent once the registration has been marked complete. The Invoice gateway does not do this.

In the case of invoice payments as the payment must be applied to the registration manually it is expected the confirmation email will be manually sent at that time.

Online gateways such as Paypal will automatically update the registration status once payment is received and EE will then send on the Confirmation Emails.
