Are EE3 event registration pages indexed by Google?

Hi Marcia,

Event Espresso’s event pages and pages that assist with registration are WordPress pages so they can be indexed by Google.

Hi, I wanted to expand upon this further as a team member shared feedback.

By default, there are 4 WordPress pages with shortcodes that Event Espresso 3 uses:

/event-registration/
/registration-cancelled/
/transactions/
/thank-you/

The above pages are indexed. However, single event pages in Event Espresso 3 are served through a dynamic URL like this:

example.com/event-registration?ee=123

The individual event pages are not indexed since those are dynamically served.

There are two options for this:

1) Use the events post feature in Event Espresso 3 which will create a post which will have the event content on it. Those posts can be indexed

2) Upgrade to Event Espresso 4 which uses custom post types which are indexed.

Hope that helps!

Hi Lorenzo,

Glad to have the clarification! That leads me to another question. Does the upgrade to EE4 convert the existing EE3 events (including past events) to the new custom post type?

Hi Marcia,

It does as that is part of the migration process.
