EE3 Addon Licenses Don't Count for EE4

Is this true? You have to pay for a new license to use the EE4 version of say, your Mailchimp addon?

Hi Terry,

No that’s not correct. If you have an EE3 license that includes the equivalent Add-on for EE4 (so in this example the MailChimp Add-on) you will have access to both the EE3 AND EE4 version.

However if you purchase an EE4 License and purchase the EE4 Mailchimp Add-on then you will only have access to the EE4 version.

Can I ask where you have seen that this wasn’t the case please?

We’re trying to get the EE4 Mailchimp addon to work, but it isn’t displayed in the account section with all the other downloads. We only see the EE3 version.

Hi Terry,

As you purchased EE3 Mailchimp al la carte, your account had not automatically updated to include the EE4 Mailchimp Add-on.

I have manually updated your account so you should now have access. If you check your account page you should find EE4 Mailchimp available in the Blue downloads (Blue for EE4, Green for EE3).

Just let us know if you have any further issues.
