I’m getting this error dialog box popup when I navigate to an event. It stays for about 5-7 seconds and then disappears. I don’t even use the espresso calendar plugin. Is there anyway to get rid of this error? Or should I just install the calendar plugin? I just installed the latest version of event espresso (4.3.1.p)

Hi,

Could you run a search in WP-admin (your WP dashboard) –> pages for that shortcode?

Then please remove it and save changes.

Then go to Settings –> Permalinks.

Let us know if this helps.

Hi Lorenzo.. no results were returning in the page search. I’ve never used the calendar add-on so it shouldn’t exist in any of my pages. Anywhere else this could be coming from?

If within any of your content pages you have [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR] shortcode then it will try to load the Calendar.

If the calendar is not active it will throw that error.

Does this happen on every event? Can you link us to the site so we can investigate a little more please.

Hi,

Could you try searching for ESPRESSO on WordPress pages and let us know how many results appear?

Also, please perform that search on WordPress posts as well and also share feedback.

Thanks.

Doing a search on WordPress Pages for ESPRESSO returns Events, Payment Status, Register, Registration Cancelled, and Transactions. I went and looked at each, none of them ESPRESSO_CALENDAR shortcode being called.

As for WordPress posts, there are no posts to search on. I haven’t created any/don’t use them on this site.

Hi,

One of those pages may be a duplicate.

Could you check them in General Settings and trash and delete the extra (the page that is unaccounted for)?

This is what they look like on a new install (no addons):

Hi,

There are five choices here:

Events, Payment Status, Register, Registration Cancelled, and Transactions

However, Event Espresso 4 only uses four WordPress pages so there is an extra payment possibly with an old shortcode.

What is the shortcode being used on the extra page?

Ok, so, I’ve been through every single page I have. I promise you, NONE of them contain the ESPRESSO_CALENDAR shortcode. If you would like, I can create a login for you to go in and look around.

I did a little extra search in phpmyadmin of the database. I did a search for ESPRESSO_CALENDAR and there were 6 matches in the wp_options table. I’m not sure if this is from a long time ago when using EE3 or maybe I installed calendar and some point and then removed it? Anyways here is a screenshot of the results..

Is it possible to get your login details in order to look into this?

If so, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

NOTE: login details need to be Admin level and FTP details are appreciated.

Hi,

Thanks for the login details. We are still looking into this and the fatal error issue.

Can I ask, did you transfer any attendees from one event to another?

Actually sorry, please disregard that question. I will continue making further investigations of this.
