Hi all. New to EE, but not new to WordPress. New WP install, with the latest version of EE. I cannot for the life of me get the messaging to work. 1. Installed “Check Email” plugin. Activated. 2. Installed WP-Mail-SMTP plugin. Activated. 3. Dug into EE and sent a “Batch Message” from the “Registrations” page – and **it worked**. But can’t get the Test messages from the Messages “Default Templates” page to send. ALSO – when I book a place, I don’t get any transactional emails. Any suggestions? Thank you |

Hi Dan, Thanks for getting a head-start on troubleshooting. Who is your hosting provider? The reason I ask is that wp_mail is a core mail function that Event Espresso and other plugins use. WordPress core also uses it for password requests and other core notifications. Could you reply with the exact error message about wp_mail? If there is a problem with wp_mail or a restriction, then emails from Event Espresso won’t work as expected. — |

Hi Lorenzo. Not getting *ANY* error messages at all. Even switching on the WP debug mode and logging, it’s not collecting anything. Hosting is UK Web Solutions Direct – I’ve several WP sites with them, and never had a problem before. I’m following up with their support team too. |

Thanks Dan. On this comment:
I may have misread that as I thought that the problem was an error related to wp_mail. Are notifications working on your other websites? I want to suggest a transactional email service like SendGrid or Postmark app (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/postmark-app-mandrill-transactional-email-handling-services/) but if there are errors occurring with wp_mail, then they may not help. They can help with issues with the local email server though. — |

OK. That problem has been resolved. Now something simpler. In the emails for registering on the event… at the bottom there is a footer which includes an email address, a phone number, and social media links… I cannot find where to edit these. It’s not in the templates at all. The email address is not the one I want to use. Any hints? |

OK. Found it – missed the selection box in the templates of choosing Recipient & Admin. So – where does [CO_EMAIL] get pulled from? |
|
OK. Found it. Nailed it. Thanks. |
