Hi all,
We have a trip selling website, and we are using the event espresso plugin to sell tickets for the trips we offer.
We have configured the plugin as follows:
1. Added one event per trip
2. Added multiple tickets per trip dates
3. Using the ticket shortcode to display available tickets on each trip page
As the business grows the website keeps getting sluggish. We have purchased more resources for the server and have done extensive optimization (reduced the number of plugins, optimized images, and database) but the server’s resources are completely drained even when a handful of users try to register for a purchase.
In recent testings it was brought to our attention that EE is affecting by 53% our page loading time. See the link here.
Our server details are: Go Daddy shared hosting with 1024 of RAM. I know you do not recommend Go Daddy, and when we can, we could consider migrating. However, that 53% of loading time is concerning to us we’d like to understand why that is happening and how to fix it.
We can happily provide access to the admin panel if you require it.

Hi Jess,
It turns out the screenshot you shared isn’t showing page load time, it’s showing runtime. Along with that, when you compare Event Espresso’s runtime to your average WordPress plugin’s runtime, it’s normal to see Event Espresso use more of the server’s resources.
A general recommendation:
You can switch to a more capable host like one of the ones mentioned here:
