Hi everyone,

After upgrading to EE 4 I have two issues:

1. Translation does not seem to work. The language file are still on the server inside /uploads/espresso/languages and strangely enough I can see a couple of words translated in the backend but nothing at the frontend.

2. When I press the button Proceed to Payment Options to go to step 2, it throughs the error “This registration step could not be completed. Please refresh the page and try again.”

Any ideas?

Regards,
Yannis

I’ve got news…

1. Translation files seems to be wrong. I found out that at the frontend some of the strings are translated as well, so the language files are on the correct position. Some of the strings are not working though and some other are missing from the language file, so are there new, EE v.4 related language files, available?
2. This is the serious problem and of course it remains.

Thank you in advance,
Yannis

Hi Yannis,

Please download the latest file for EE4 from this location:

https://eventespresso.com/glotpress/projects/event-espresso-4

Could you please link to any event on your site so I can check into the registration error?

You’ll find the event on the right sidebar.

Thank you Yannis. I was able to see the error when trying to proceed to the payment page.

Could you login to your WordPress admin and go to Event Espresso –> General Settings –> Critical Pages.

Do all of the pages show green with the messaging below:

Page Status OK Shortcode OK

Hi Yannis,

I’m having some trouble reproducing this error on a test site.

Could you please temporarily disable all plugins and then reactivate only Event Espresso and try again?

Disabling all plugins is not an option, because for some of them it would mean that I should reconfigure them afterwards. Please understand that after the iCal issue and then the PDF issues I decided to move to v.4 just to get rid of these problems and now nothing works. I’ve spent days trying to resolve things and no more time or patience is left. I bought a support token and I will immediately fill in the relevant form, even though I believe I shouldn’t pay for resolving software bugs. Anyway, it might prove that it’s a plugin conflict but v.3 problems make me believe that it is not. Nevermind. Please help me get on with my life.
Regards,
Yannis

Hi Yannis,

I wanted to let you know that I’ve received your temporary login. Let’s continue working privately there to resolve this issue.

Cheers

Lorenzo
