Hi,

for eating purpose I try to setup a local WordPress website with EE4.
I’ve start from scratch with a new wordpress installation(last known version), blank sql database, and everything is fine on the WordPress side.

When I upload the EE4 core file, I’m able to install the plugin, but when Activate is clicked, next page is blank with this path : http://localhost/wp-admin/plugins.php?activate=true&plugin_status=all&paged=1&s=

Then I’m not able to access the dashboard, no error message, just a blank page…
Then if I manually remove the event-espresso-core-reg folder from the plugin filer, my wordpress dashboard is accessible again.

Do y have any idea what to check to troubleshoot this ?

Hi Beniot,

There could be many reasons for this.

The first thing you’ll need to do is enable WP_Debug on the local site, then try again.

You should then see an error message on the white screen.

Can you try that and post what the error message(s) is please?

Thanks Tony, after activating WP_debug, I get the following :

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 75 bytes) in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/db_models/fields/EE_Datetime_Field.php on line 480

Defining memory to 96Mb define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’96M’); seems to fix the issue.

Thanks for taking me to this way to solve this !
