editing version 2 status from event headings

Hi, I’m constantly experiencing problems when we change/edit event names, etc.
For example we currently have “ee-events/creative-holiday-workshops-2/“ and we need to omit the “-2/“. How can we do this seamlessly please? have tried to permanently delete and restart the event process without success.

Hello,

That will happen if there is a prior event with the same name in use even if it is a past event.

Have you checked to see if there is an existing event?

If there is, then restore the original event from the trash and then edit it to add an extra character to the end of the slug and then save changes via the event editor.

creative-holiday-workshops –> creative-holiday-workshops-old

Then you should be able to use the original slug on a newer event.
