Editing exisiting registration

I had someone register for a class and then email me that they had put some incorrect information in by accident. How can I change that on the back end? I can view it and it lets me make edits, but then there is no “save” option and it just goes back to the original information.

Also, is there a way to input a new registration manually from the back end if someone mails in a hard copy form? I don’t see that option, it appears that all registration has to go through the front end of our website.

Hi there,

I can view it and it lets me make edits, but then there is no “save” option and it just goes back to the original information.

Where are you making those edits?

The location you go to edit the answers depends on which questions they have incorrectly answered. Is it custom questions or the personal info questions such as name and email?

For custom questions, you edit the registration from within the registration list, then at the bottom you’ll see a ‘Registration form answers’ meta box – http://take.ms/9O51F

You click the ‘edit the above question group’ link to enable editing, set the value and then click Update registration questions.

For Name and email, you need to edit the ‘contact’ for the registration.

Edit the registration again but this time look in the sidebar to the right, you’ll see ‘View/Edit contact’.

Click that, edit the details and click update – http://take.ms/grhVt

If neither of those apply can you please add a screenshot that shows what you see:

Also, is there a way to input a new registration manually from the back end if someone mails in a hard copy form? I don’t see that option, it appears that all registration has to go through the front end of our website.

You can add them through the admin, you need to view the registrations for an event first.

Go to Event Espresso -> Events -> {hover over event} -> Registrations.

At the top of the page you should then see a ‘Add new registration’ button, you can use that to add registrations within the admin.
