Hi Melanie,

We’ll need to know more about the registrations to know why this happened.

Were the two registrations part of the same transaction?

Hello Josh,
Two registrations are not a part of the same transaction. Even they are not same event registration.

This could be caused by a stuck cookie (if the two registrations were made in the same browser) or caching. Can you try update to the current version of Event Espresso 4 and make sure there isn’t any caching set?

Hi Malanie,

Is there an event we can run a test registration on?

Do you have the EE4 User Integration Add-on activated?

Melanie Kusmik

Hi Melanie,

You can go to Event Espresso > Registration Forms > User Integration Settings and change the Always sync contact information with WP user profile? setting to No. This will prevent the issue you are seeing. The sync contact information feature will update the contact info for the account that you’re logged into when you input different contact info into each registration.

Always sync contact information with WP user profile? setting to No.
=> I set “No” for this option .
And then when i register new event then registration not displayed in my registration .
=> I also tried with fresh install of wordPress and fresh event espresso plugin , event espresso 4, multi registration add-on, user integration add-on plugins but there is also this problem.
Can you please give me solution for this?

I’m sorry I do not understand what you mean by “when i register new event then registration not displayed in my registration”. Can you explain?

Melanie Kusmik

As you said i set setting to no for “Always sync contact information with WP user profile?”.
Then when i register event then registration not displayed in my account by [ESPRESSO_MY_EVENTS] shortcode.
When i set setting to yes for “Always sync contact information with WP user profile?”. again. after that when i register event then that registration listed under [ESPRESSO_MY_EVENTS] shortcode.
This is major issue please tell me. How we can disable synchronization.

You can disable synchronization by setting Always sync contact information with WP user profile? to No.

But before you do that, and while it’s still set to Yes, you can go to your user account profile and make sure that your contact information is correct. If it’s not correct, you update it. Then you set Always sync contact information with WP user profile? to No.

Then when you go register for the event, your name and email from your user profile will be automatically filled out on the registration form. Then, your registration will be added to your list of registrations if you do not change the values in those fields.

Hi Melanie,

If you change the the values of the autofilled fields on the registration form when you register for the event, it will not display that registration in your registrations section.

Melanie Kusmik

But why?
If i have multiple different attendee information then why i cant see them in my registration?
I place different registration for each attendee for different event.

The EE4 User Integration syncs your registrations with your EE contact and your WP User account, if you change the auto-fill details (with the sync feature disabled) you no longer apply the registration to your EE contact, but another.

Hi, Tony
My question is that if i disabled sync feature then why i can’t see my registration in my registrations section.

Then yes, I understand your question and my above answer still applies.

To explain further within EE when you register onto an event you create a ‘contact’ within Event Espresso.

When you use the EE4 User Integration Add-on you tell EE to Sync up your registrations to that contact. (with the sync feature enabled).

So when you place a registration EE checks for your contact and assigns the registration to that contact, if you have altered any details within the registration form, those changes apply to your contact and your user account (again WITH the sync feature enabled)

You don’t want that (as if you create new registrations with different details it updates the contact that is assigned to all the registrations).

With the sync feature disabled your telling EE to not do any of the above. EE automatically searches for ‘contacts’ within Event Espresso that have the same details provided within the reg form, so if you use the same details it will be assigned to the same contact.

If you do not use the same details, you create a new contact from the details provided. You’ve told Event Espresso not to sync those details with your contact so they aren’t assigned to you and don’t change your own contact details.

When you view your registrations within that section EE pulls in all of the registrations assigned to your contact (the contact linked with your user account), given the above that’s any registrations that used the same details, any registrations that did not use the same details do not.

So when you register using the details that match your contact details (the auto filled details), do those registrations show?

Hello,
Then how can i manage multiple contact for a single user?

Tony

Currently you can’t.

You can either sync details and use a single contact for all registrations which will show all of those registrations in the My Registrations section, or you can not sync the contact details, create multiple contacts for registrations and only show registrations that apply to your specific contact.

Can we put in a request for this? Like other posts I’ve seen, we offer camps and classes to kids. We use your terrific app to manage registrations, but this is 1 requirement we are in need of: 1 parent account to be related to many Children accounts, using the parent email as the unique ID.

Thank you!
