Hello,

Registrants to events on our site are receiving two copies of Event Registration Details emails as well as two copies of Event Payment Detail emails. I’ve seen this same topic on other threads but could not find a solution on those threads. We are running the most recent version of EE4 our site is http://garagedoorstudio.com
Thanks

Hi Spencer,

Can you check if the To: field is filled out for both the Primary Registrant message and the Registrant message contexts? If they are, then you can disable one of them to avoid the duplicates.

Hello Josh,

Thanks for your response and sorry for a slow reply. I didn’t see the notification email that you had responded.

It appears that only Primary Registrant or Registrant is selected for the message contexts. Here is a screen cap:

I’d be happy to share login information with you to take a look at this if there is a way to send you a private message.

Thanks

Hi Spencer,

Are you using the EE4 User Integration add-on?

Within your PayPal acount is auto return enabled?

Hi

Auto return is enabled and we are not using the user integration add-on.
I’m also noticing that we are getting the warning again about an unsecure connection when users are returned to an https page on our site after completing the payment on the Paypal site. Are these issues related? Thanks

Possibly yes.

That’s strange as I can’t see any resources loading over HTTP on your thank-you page.

To secure you site did you follow all of the steps here:

Hello,

Yes I can confirm that HTTPS is being forced on all of the critical EE pages according to your instructions.

I believe this issue is connected to a past support request:
https://eventespresso.com/topic/ee4-paypal-return-https-issues-and-registration-checkout-hanging-in-firefox/

The last reply on this thread was from one of your staff with a link to some code that we have been using to force HTTPS on the return to the thankyou page. Is it possible that this code is no longer functional given updates to the plugin?

And we are still seeing the same duplicate registration and payment confirmation emails. Can I please share login info to our site so you can take a look at this and help us resolve the issue?

Thanks

Sure, I’ll take a look if you can send login details using this form:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

Note depending on the cause we may require the purchase of a support token to work through this (for example if this turns out to be caused by custom code, excluding the above, or the sites theme) however we can take a look first and see if its an issue with EE.
