Duplicate payments being taken by Paypal

EE 3.1.36.5.P and Multi Event Registration 1.0.5.p
New installation

I have been informed by Paypal that there is a 1.5 minute delay with the site which is causing a second payment being taken and the problem lies with the site not Paypal.

Are you able to help?

Hi Emily,

At what point during registration is the delay happening?

Event Espresso uses the PayPal IPN to update payment information and the speed of that service is controlled by PayPal.

Hi Lorenzo

The delay occurs at the very end of the purchasing. Paypal said it is a minute and a half delay and it then appears to duplicate the page so that the customer pays twice.

Hi Emily,

Can you try removing the Facebook widget from the registration and return from payment pages?
