Duplicate Confirm Registration modules – what does that mean?

I’ve attached a screenshot of this ridiculous ‘Confirm’ page I get with Event Espresso after Name and Email is first added. Is this how the default of this plugin is supposed to work? Having two different modules with the exact same button/call-to-action for users to move forward? This is confusing and makes no sense at all. I’ve never seen anything like this. Is my Event Espresso code completely corrupted? Please advise. Thank You.

You might be interested in how the second button got added. It’s quite a story.

Originally, there was one button and it was at the top of the page. Then we got a fair amount of feedback from customers that were concerned about people having to scroll up after reviewing their long list of registration form answers. They requested the button be moved to the bottom. We listened.

So we moved the button to the bottom of the form.

Then we received even more feedback where people complained about people having to scroll to the bottom to proceed. They requested that another button get added to the top of the page, where the original one was. We listened.

So we added a second button to the top of the form.

In cases where the second button isn’t desired, you can hide it with CSS.

Josh thanks for getting back. What you currently have with EE is essentially just an ecommerce solution once folks begin the registration. Why can’t the checkout just look and feel like a regular website checkout, of which 99% look the same? Users do not like to be surprised online when they’re inputting their personal and credit card info. You currently just have 2 pages where info is entered in the checkout, so that in itself is not overly complicated. The double module on the ‘Verify’ page is confusing to users. It does not look like most checkouts. It’s not the double ‘Confirm Registration’ button, I understand that. It’s the two separate modules of information that is displayed, one being the Event Info and the other being the Personal Info. Why can’t those two separate modules be formatted as one module/table together? Why separate them?

Hi,

The top box was intended to be a sort of summary, where the basic information can be viewed, without having to look through the attendee data.

A lot of our customers have long and intricate registration forms, so having the individual attendee data separated from the event data is actually beneficial to attendees as it lessens having to search for the basic event info.
