Here is the error message in my word press dashboard:
Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘EE_Error’ with message ‘Event Espresso Level 2 Maintenance mode is active. That means EE can not run ANY database queries until the necessary migration scripts have run which will take EE out of maintenance mode level 2. Please inform support of this error.

Also…. I am thinking that I should upgrade/migrate but I want to choose the one that won’t lose my data and event information. Suggestions?

Yes you’ll want to choose the Migrate my Event Espresso data option on the Event Espresso > Maintenance page.
