Drop down fields showing duplicate labels & field order

The drop down fields on my form are displaying duplicate entries

In addition, why aren’t the primary, required fields – name & email – showing first on this page?

Hi Carol,

Was the question originally a Radio button? If so you may need to swap it back to a radio button, delete the Description and then change it back to dropdown.

Questions are ordered with the Question Group by dragging and dropping placement http://take.ms/jGVkZ

Hi Dean – no, they have always been check boxes. This happened as a result of updating from 3x to 4x
I am unable to change the fields – there is a message that says: This field cannot be changed because there are currently answers for this question in the database.
The primary name & email fields are not available as a drag and drop. Those are the fields I need at the top of the form.

Could you try adjusting the order of the question groups via the registration form screen in your WP dashboard?

It looks like the personal question group is set to appear after another question group.

Hi Lorenzo – the only issue I’m having is with the first name, last name, email fields not showing up at the top of the form. The other question groups are fine, I just can’t seem to get the primary contact fields to show at the top of the form.

In addition, I am still unable to get rid of the duplicate entries in my dropdowns.

Hi Carol,

If the personal question group is currently set to appear after another question group, then that will happen.

We’ll need the personal question group to appear first like this:

And for the question groups within the event editor, it should appear in a similar order like this:

One other possibility is that the questions within a question group have been sorted in a custom order. If you have done that and are not using the personal question group, then please edit the question group that has the personal questions and then drag them towards the top of the list and save changes.

Hi Lorenzo – thank you very much for your help with this. The Personal Information Question Group was listed on the second page of questions and was not “drag-and-drop-able” – and changing the Question Group Order number did not move it to the first position – so I had to re-order some of the other questions in order to move the Personal Information question group to the first page.

It appears as if the only way I can get rid of the duplicate listings in the drop down fields is to create a new question. Correct?

I decided to create new questions, because I wasn’t able to edit the old ones.

Hi Lorenzo – yes, I had to create new questions to eliminate the issue. Not sure if that was the best solution, but it seems to work. Thanks for checking in – you can close this out.
