double booking tickets

Hi,
we want to use Event Espresso for seat reservation for 5 concerts.
We also want to use paypal.
So for seat reservation I built 200 tickets and each ticket has a unique number. When I do 2 registration on one ticket (for example ticket number 100) at the same time (in to different browsers) it books this ticket 2 times, but it is only 1 time available. How can I fix that?

Is this for a currently supported version of Event Espresso?

Hi Josh,

Yesterday, I created a demo Event on your page (http://demoee.org/sschwing/events/test/). You see tickets that are sold out and you see tickets that are marked as “not available”. The not available tickets are double booked. Feel free to try to book 1 ticket at the same time with to different browsers

Hi Simon,

There is a check when you first attempt to add tickets to your cart, the issue that you’re seeing is that once you begin the registration process, your tickets that you selected are still available for purchase, because the spaces don’t get reserved until you finalize your registration.

Once you complete the reg process for that last ticket, then the Ticket Selector, even if it had been left open in a tab unrefreshed and showing tickets available, will not allow tickets to be added to the cart if the event sold out in the background.

There is an open ticket to add some in-between steps where Event Espresso would check to see if any spaces are available, between the ticket quantity selection and payment.

Do you know, when this in-between steps will be implemented?
