Does the My Events page require user login?

A question about Event Espresso v3:

If we are using the multiple event add-on, when users visit the My Events page to see the events they have registered for, do they need to be logged in to the website with an individual user name and password in order for the My Events list to work?

Certainly, otherwise the website has no idea who they are.
