Hello there,

Is it possible to display staff manager email on the frontend?

It can entered via the backend, but does not display – our client would like their customers to see it.

Cheers,

Spencer

Hi Spencer,

I recommend using the Advanced Custom Fields plugin for this sort of thing. Not sure whether you mean you do want the email to display or not though, it sounds like you want something displayed, or not displayed? Either way, I recommend checking out Advanced Custom Fields.

Hi Josh,

Yes, I want the manager’s email to display alongside the rest of their contact details. Email seems to be the only one that doesn’t.

It looks as if I will need to edit shortcodes.php to pull the ACF into where we need it – this doesn’t seem like a good idea…or is there another way?

Cheers,

Spencer

You will not need to edit shortcodes.php directly because the function you’ll be making an edit to is pluggable. You can copy the entire function into /wp-content/uploads/espresso/custom_functions.php and it will load from there.

If you’re using EE3 you will not need ACF since there’s already an email field.

Ok, that’s great. Thanks Josh.
