Discount Codes on the backend for volunteers

I know that with a paid version, I’ll be able to have promo codes. I am currently using another event registration system and I am able to apply discounts on the backend. We have a volunteer program for our event, which allows the volunteers to earn $10/hr worked. So basically, they register without paying (via marking their payment as check) then when their volunteer hours are finalized, I can go in and take off the dollar amount, and send them a new invoice. I don’t want them to apply their own discount code if that makes sense. This has honestly been the main reason for staying with our current system but it’s not as user friendly as Event Espresso. Thank you!

Hi Ziah,

Event Espresso cannot currently apply discount codes through the WP dashboard on a manual registration.

However, here is an idea on creating complementary tickets:

So, if they register and mark their payment as check, I can’t go in and apply a discount at all? They would have to do it at the time of registration?

Hi Ziah,

If there is a payment being applied, then you can add that information to zero out the balance.

However, there isn’t a way to use a promotion code to remove a balance that may be due for a ticket.
