default registration status wrong

I have paypal express enabled and when a payment is not made after submission the registration still says APPROVED. should I be setting the DEFAULT REGISTRATION STATUS to PENDING PAYMENT so that if a payment is made it will change to APPROVED? this seems to not be working please advise?

Hi Mike,

That sounds like it’s working as expected.

If the Default Registration Status is set to Approved, the registration status will default to Approved regardless of whether there was a payment.

If you want unpaid registrations to have the Pending Payment status, that get updated to Approved when payment is made, then you set the Default Registration Status to “Pending Payment”.
