Default Free Ticket can't be deleted…

When I create a new event, the default “free” ticket pops in. I create the correct new ticket and delete the default free ticket and save. The free ticket returns and is enabled for all events during the day again.

No matter how many times I deleted it, it returns. I’ve had to set the price to 1000000 in the pricing to keep it from allowing free registrations to every event I have.

I can only assume this is a critical bug except I don’t see anyone else complaining about it.

How do I disable this “feature”? How can I totally remove default pricing? I NEVER want default pricing of any sort on new events (much less free) and I never want the system to add pricing for me when I create an event. That just creates the potential for things to be wrong.

Hi Andrew,

All events require a single ticket and datetime to be created by default.

You can change this value (and ticket name) using Event Espresso -> Pricing.

Change the ‘Free Admission’ price – http://take.ms/Pbnn2

Change the name and provide a default price to use, then save the settings.

New events created will use this value for the default ticket.
