I have my site setup with calendars for events and people select the day they want to book from there. When the emails go out to the admin and the users the dates are not in there. How can I add the date of the event in the emails?

Hi,

You can use the email tags https://eventespresso.com/wiki/custom-email-tags/

[start_date], [start_time]
[end_date], [end_time]

Hi,

Sorry I missed the mention of the admin in the first post. Currently the Admin email cannot be edited except by modifying a core file which we do not recommend.

Going forward, 4.X will allow admin emails to be edited easily.

If you do still wish to edit the admin email, you will need to edit the file event-espresso/includes/functions/email.php. Please be aware any updates to Event Espresso will over write your changes.

Do you have a ballpark guess as to when 4.x will be released, not being able to edit emails is really hurting me right now

Also any idea what line the admin email starts? And if I have to do anything to get the date variable in there?

Hi Peter,

Dean may have misunderstood your question. The dates and times are automatically displayed in the admin notification in the 3rd and 4th columns of the table that gets displayed below where it says registration summary like so:

screenshot of the admin email

The start/end dates for the event that are entered in the event editor may be formatted incorrectly. Can you verify that the dates are formatted as:

2013-09-09

and the times as 8:00 am

?

The second screenshot is showing that the time fields are blank. Can you try adding in a start and end time using this format:

8:00 am
