We have some problems with other plugins because of the use of date_default_timezone_set() in event espresso. Why isn’t Event Espresso works with UTC and does it set the timezone for whole wordpress? Do you guys have some work around or can you change this feature?

Many thanks!

Hi there,

This is something that has been addressed in the 4.x version of Event Espresso. In 3.1.x it was decided to not pull date_default_timezone_set because it would involve rewriting every place that ee pulls the time or date.
