Date and Time are modified on Save – Conflict with Auction Plugin

I use Event Espresso 4 on a site and I recently installed the Ultimate Auction Plugin (http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/ultimate-auction/).

When the plugin is active, it messes up all the time and dates for all the events in EE4. Whenever I go to an event, if I try to change a date/time and save it, it automatically changes the date/time to something else.

I have deactivated the Auction plugin at the moment because of the conflict and because it’s on a live site but I’d like to use it. How can I fix the conflict?

I’ve read this thread with a similar problem:
https://eventespresso.com/topic/event-time-modified-on-save/ as well as the answer from the EE4 developer (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-is-conflicting-with-event-espresso) but I don’t know how I can fix it. (I’m not a programmer)

Hi JP Duchesneau,

This is something you will need to discuss with the plugin developer.

To fix this would require removal of date_default_timezone_set() and depending on how the plugin is coded, this could involve a fair amount of work.

I see you have started a support thread with them, unfortunately this is not something we (Event Espresso) can fix as we can not provide support for another plugin.
