Database plugin to allow invitation only to those not registered

Hello,

We currently use Mailchimp to hold our database and to send e-invitations. We would like to send invitations only to those that have not registered for the current event in Event Espresso. I’ve been told that is not a possibility with our current setup.

Is there a different database plugin or another option that might make this a possibility? Thank you!

Hi, if you do not already have a relationship (e.g. through a prior transaction), then this could be considered SPAM. Thats why we don’t recommend using MailChimp for these emails.

Approximately how many contacts are you wanting to email? If it is a small amount, then I would use the BCC option through your email account.

I think we miscommunicated, so I’ll try again: Each month, we sent multiple e-invitations from Mailchimp to our database, also held in Mailchimp. We would like to send the second e-invite to those that have not registered in Event Espresso for events. I’ve been told this is not possible? (So none of that should be SPAM.) We have thousands in our database.

So, we were looking for another solution and wondering if there is a different database solution or plug-in that would coordinate with Event Espresso (we would migrate our database from Mailchimp to new location) so that the above would be possible. Thank you!

Alright, what are all the methods in which a visitor to your site could join one of your lists on your site?

For example, registering for an event through Event Espresso would be one method.

The reason why I ask is there are some segmenting features available through MailChimp. Event Espresso uses the API option so if you are not using any other MailChimp plugins on your site, then this segment option could work:

I tested the option above, but it seems to be removing all those that have registered for any event, not just the current event. So, it looks like this will not work.

If we moved away from Mailchimp, Is there a different database plugin or another option that might make this a possibility? Thank you!

Hi, I overlooked the “current event” requirement. I read that as had not registered via Event Espresso.

I’m not aware of another way to set this up.
