Database error with multiple users

If you try to register for an event on our website at the same time (independently of each other), the page hangs and there is a database error. Only one person can be in the registration form at a time. All others will not be able to register.

We also have the information in the backend that we use the licence key (1 page) for several pages. However, we only use this on 1 page.

Thank you for your help

Hi there,

If you try to register for an event on our website at the same time (independently of each other), the page hangs and there is a database error. Only one person can be in the registration form at a time. All others will not be able to register.

Do you have the database error being thrown?

There is nothing within Event Espresso to limit registrations to a single registrant so I’m guessing you are hitting some kind of limit on your server, but I need the error to be able to investigate.

That error looks like it’s from MemberPress doing something within the DB rather than Event Espresso?

Yes that is correct, but Eventespresso triggers the action at Memberpress.

Unfortunately, we can’t control what other plugins do, especially if it’s triggering a database deadlock.

I am not happy. Because we have deactivated all memberpress plugins. And still we got an error message (database hangs) for several users at the same time.

Ok, so what error is being thrown without Memberpress active?

We wanted to do 9 registrations at the same time. 6 of them failed.

What do you mean by 9 registrations?

How are you testing this exactly?

So it is definitely not due to Memberpress. How can you help us?

Both memberpress and EE may be showing a symptom from something else here, a limit on the number of DB connections your server allows for example (I’m guessing here and NOT saying that is the cause as we don’t have enough information to narrow this down yet).
