Is there a way to create a connection to our existing Sage Payment Solutions gateway?

Hi,

In EE4 you could use the Mijireh gateway which connects to Sage – http://www.mijireh.com/docs/payment-gateways/

Other than that it would have to be a custom gateway created by us or a thirdparty developer.

I believe we are looking into a Sage Pay gateway for EE4, but work is currently on hold.

Since it’s been a year and there’s been no development, if we were to pursue your product, we’d need to look into creating our own gateway. What would be the charge for you to write it for us?
Alternately, you mentioned a third party developer. Are there APIs or other hooks to EE4 that are available?

Michael,

Do you have an account with SagePay? Another client has sponsored it and we are waiting for access to an account to begin testing. If you have an account and can give us testing access it would speed up the development. We have tried to get a testing account from SagePay, but they have been unresponsive.

I do have an account with Sage Payment Solutions and hopefully this is the same thing. Here’s where we go to get into their virtual terminal
https://www.sageexchange.com/SEP/Default#

If it is then we can work something out where I can get you account access

This is the SagePay we are working on: http://www.sagepay.co.uk/, which looks to be different than yours.

The cost for a new gateway implementation is $1,000, paid up front, which is good for 10 hours of development time (enough to cover most gateways) and includes the Business License (or equivalent discount) of Event Espresso. If there are problems or additional development is needed beyond the first 10 hours, those will be billed at $70/hr, due on completion and you’ll be notified in advance of the situation. The development will take 2-3 weeks to complete once we get started.

I don’t know then if UK and US accounts following the same API. Let me see if I can get anything from this side of the world for confirmation.

I am just considering Event Espresso, but my client also uses Sagepay. What (if any) advantage would there be of having a custom gateway compared to Mijireh please?

It’s a matter of saving money and simplicity. You can save the mijireh fees plus use one gateway not two (your gateway only, instead of mijireh and your gateway.
