Currently using CiviCrm and want to switch

I am using Drupal and CiviCRM. For the most part it is pretty straight forward. My question is this. The site I have now is a site that can be visited by the public and by registered users. The registered users have access to special areas (normal so far). With CiviCRM, users can pay and register for a one year membership that will give them specific roles in Drupal. The second thing is that we do is each event has associated hours and when a user attends an event the hours are tracked and accumulated so when they log in they can see how many hours they have logged in total.

Can you let me know if these are things I would be able to accomplish with your system.

I am very interested!

Thanks

Hi Shawn,

Thank you for considering Event Espresso.

With CiviCRM, users can pay and register for a one year membership that will give them specific roles in Drupal.

Event Espresso does not have any functionality to manage users within your WP site. This would need to be done using a Member ship plugin such as s2Member (just an example there are others to chose from). Currently Event Espresso will display 1 price for logged in users (members) or 1 price for non-logged in users (standard price).

The second thing is that we do is each event has associated hours and when a user attends an event the hours are tracked and accumulated so when they log in they can see how many hours they have logged in total.

This is not a part of Event Espresso currently, it is likely possible to do, but would require custom development.

In a nutshell it is possible to do what you have describe above, however you would need custom development and a suitable members plugin for it to work as described.

Thanks for the information. For the second question then, you mention that it would require custom work. Is this something that Event Expresso would do and if so, what would it cost?

Hi Shawn,

I would recommend submitting a customisation request here:

https://eventespresso.com/contact/customization-request-form/

Providing as many details as possible as how you would expect this work. A member of our sales team can then discuss this further.
