I’m getting a “Critical Error” message when I attempt to publish a new event on event espresso. Please CC dan@lundmark.com (developer) on any responses.

I’ve received the following message via email:

Howdy!

Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Event Espresso.

First, visit your website (https://obhcouncil.org/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://obhcouncil.org/wp-admin/admin.php?page=espresso_events&action=edit&post=12619&edit_nonce=a74ae7739a) and check for any visible issues.

Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.

If your site appears broken and you can’t access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further.

** REMOVED **

To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.

When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
WordPress version 5.8.3
Current theme: Beaver Builder Child Theme (version 1.0)
Current plugin: Event Espresso (version 4.10.25.p)
PHP version 7.4.27

Have you made any changes to the database in the recent past and/or deleted any old content?

I don’t think so? This is a new license on a new domain.

Hi there,

The error you are getting is basically saying EE was giving tickets that should be for Event X (in this case ID 12638) but was actually giving tickets for a different Event (in this case ID 4340).

Usually, when this happens it is because either someone has manually altered the database tables, or migrated a sites EE tables and ‘reset’ WordPress tables but not Event Espresso’s (which then breaks the relationships between pretty much everything as the foreign keys don’t match).

I saw in an email about this issue that the site has been migrated, may I ask how that was done?

(Note if you prefer to post reply via email on this issue that’s no problem just let me know and I’ll close this thread)
