I have been trying to find information about copying an event when I found this old post here:
https://eventespresso.com/topic/copy-event-in-ee4/page/16/

Since its closed and I am still having a problem I decided to open another one. That thread says that the EE 4.4 should support duplicating an event in the permalinks section. I currently checked, and I do not have the duplicate option. I also do not have any SEO software loaded – which was the problem highlighted in the old thread. My question is – how can I duplicate an event and why am I not seeing that option? Is there another feature I need to turn on to see it? It would be wonderfully helpful to be able to copy events. Here is a copy of what I see when I look at that page:

Hi,

Can you post the the full version number of EE4 you are using please?

If you go to Dashboard -> Plugins.

Then find Event Espresso in that list, does it say Decaf? Like this – http://take.ms/Jml6q

Yes I do have decaf – but I also have a license that I purchased. I thought all of the features would be there once the license activated it. Do I have to remove what I have and re-install? If I do that – what will happen to my current events? Thank you!!

BTW – This was a super fast response from you guys – I cannot tell you how appreciated that is! =)

Hi there,

Here are the steps to upgrade from Event Espresso 4 decaf to the regular version of Event Espresso 4.

First, be sure that you are logged into your Event Espresso account page. Otherwise, you won’t be able to view any downloads.

Towards the top of the page, you’ll see blue buttons which are for Event Espresso 4 and green buttons which are for Event Espresso 3:

Click on the the blue Event Espresso 4 button and this will download a zip file to your computer.

Next, return to your WordPress dashboard and go to Plugins. Then deactivate your existing version of Event Espresso and then delete it. Now click on Add New on the Plugins screen, then Upload, and select your Event Espresso zip file and begin the upload. Allow a few seconds for your WordPress site to upload and install the software. Afterwards, you can activate it.

It will prompt you to migrate your information over. Go ahead and complete the migration.

Your events will still be there after the update.

Thanks

Lorenzo
