Hi, I am continually getting the following error message when trying to add registrations via the admin page: An error has occurred: What can I do to fix this? With Best Wishes, Nick |
Hi Nick, Can you outline step by step instructions on how you’re trying to add registrations via the admin page so we can investigate? |
Hi Josh, I go to my event list, and then click on the ‘Registrations’ link under the event. I then click on ‘Add New Registration’ at the top of the page, and follow the process through. The error appears, about 50-60% of the time when I try to submit the form with the name and email address of the attendee(s). As I have a lot of attendees to add manually, this is proving rather painful! An entry appears in my MySQL database, but with a 0 under ATT_ID. Nick |

Thanks. Can you spot any differences in the data that’s being input for successful entries verses ones that fail? For example, is there a field that has a lot of characters input into it for the failed entries? |
I don’t think there is any discernible pattern, no. I thought it might be related to caching, but I have disabled caching in wp-admin. |
Is there any database caching set up, by plugin or otherwise? |
Database caching is disabled in the W3 Total Cache plugin, and I have not set it up elsewhere. |
Okay, thanks for confirming. Can you check this screenshot and let me know if you are clicking the tab that says “Add New Registration” (marked with an x) or are you clicking the button that says “Save Registration and Continue to Details” (marked with a y)? |
I am pressing Button Y |

Hi Nick, who is your hosting provider? — |
cloudvps.com |

Can you check with your host to see if they have any mod_security rules set up or if there is server level caching? Another thing you can check too: Does your IP address change throughout the day? The reason I ask is because the same error was reported by another user of Event Espresso and they remarked it was caused by their IP address constantly changing. |
