EE4 is preventing me from using revolution slider that had previously worked with EE4. I am also having a problem submitting forms with contact form7. Both of these plugins work flawlessly when EE4 is disabled.

Hi Ronald,

Wow, that’s really unexpected. While I do not have a current copy of Revolution Slider to test this, it does appear to function correctly on other sites that have both Revolution Slider and Event Espresso activated. I’m looking at a site right now that’s using Revolution Slider to display upcoming events added with Event Espresso. Can you elaborate a bit more about what’s happening?

With regards to Contact Form 7, I do have the current version of Contact Form 7 on a test site and I’m not seeing any issues with submitting forms while Event Espresso is activated. Can you post a link to the page on your site that has the Contact form, so I can investigate further?

On contact form 7, when I have EE4 enabled, when I fill out a form on the site, I click submit, usually you get the green message that it was completed. However, the message spinner briefly shows in the correct location, but disappears before displaying a message and the form never submits.

On Revolution Slider has to do with EE4 working properly. When revolution slider is activated EE4 ticket purchase is not possible. The product screen is fine, select quantity and click register to go to next screen, it never does anything. Screen goes blank, you are stuck there.

Here are my versions.
Wordpress: 4.9.6
Event Espresso: 4.9.64.p
Slider Revolution: 5.4.7.4
Contact Form7: 5.0.2

Those are symptoms that are not caused by Event Espresso alone. I checked your site and I can see that the jQuery library is being loaded twice (one instance is the bundled WP version, and the other from the Google CDN). The jQuery library should be loaded only once.

So one of the scripts outlined in red in this screenshot must be removed:

One approach to find this involves installing the Health Check plugin, then go to WP → Dashboard → Heath Check → Troubleshooting. There you’ll Enable Troubleshooting Mode, then once that’s activated you’ll reactivate your theme and plugins one by one via the Health Check’s Troubleshooting item in the WP admin bar. You’ll start with Event Espresso, Rev Slider, and CF 7 as the baseline and continue reactivating plugins until the breakage occurs.

The other potential issue could be the memory limit for WordPress is too low, which can be remedied by following this guide:
