Hi

We’ve got a prospective client that need a plugin to allow their customers to book out business individual coaches for units of time and pay for their services in a multi-step process. Here’s how I see it working:

UNREGISTERED USERS:
1) Enter details and create user profile
2) Upon successful account creation, continue to “book coaching session” page
3) Choose coach with availability on a particular date/time
4) Pay for the coaching session via WooCommerce

REGISTERED USERS:
1) Login to profile
2) Browse to “book coaching session” page
3) Choose coach with availability on a particular date/time
4) Pay for the coaching session via WooCommerce

Will this software handle our prescribed process?

Cheers

Hi Ben,

Thanks for your interest in Event Espresso.

I think it could handle what you need, but not exactly how you laid it out.

1) Enter details and create user profile

EE doesn’t handle user registration, so you would need to use the default WP system or something similar.

EE3 has the WP User Integration addon which allows you to lock events to logged out users (none members).

EE4 doesn’t yet have that but you can do the same with a basic membership plugin as EE4 events are custom post types (please note we have not tested every membership plugin! S2Member does work for blocking individual events.)

2) Upon successful account creation, continue to “book coaching session” page

An event list can be added to any page via a shortcode.

3) Choose coach with availability on a particular date/time

Each of these would be an event. Personally I would probably separate each coach as a category and have an overview page listing the coaches and each link would go to a separate page with the coaches events listed. It really depends on how you want to handle it.

I would strongly recommend checking out our EE4 test drive ( http://demoee.org ) – it’s free to register for it and it will give you a much better understanding of how the plugin works.

Please note that the way EE4 works is different to EE3, you can check out our Lite version of EE3 from here: https://eventespresso.com/event-espresso-lite-preview/

4) Pay for the coaching session via WooCommerce

Not possible, as we don’t have Woocommerce integration.

We do however support multiple gateways, please see here for a full list: https://eventespresso.com/features/payment-options/ (EE3 and EE4 gateways are different, so click the tabs to see what’s available for each).

I hope that helps, but if you have any other questions, feel free to let me now.
