Confirmation Email Issue

Hello,
When someone registers for an event, they receive their confirmation email, and the WordPress site Admin is sent a confirmation. The email address in EE\General Settings\Primary Contact Email (info@drsofpt.com) is not receiving anything.

I’ve read other posts on this and have setup and am using WPMandrill. Tests to the EE Primary Contact Email from Mandrill are working just fine, but the registration emails are disappearing – not going to spam/junk, just not arriving. When I view the Mandrill Outgoing stats, emails from EE to info@drsofpt.com aren’t in the stats anywhere.

Thinking it had something to do with the email having the same domain as the site, I used my own email address, which I know works from the EE system since I used it for one of the test registrations and I received the registration confirmation. However, when that same email is used for the EE Primary Contact email, nothing goes through. There seems to be a bug somewhere with that field and notifications. No matter what email I put there, they don’t receive the confirmation, but the person registering for the class does receive theirs, and a notification is sent to one of the site Admins.

Help? Thanks!

Another thing I’ve noticed – don’t know if it’s related or not – is that everywhere available, I have info@drsofpt.com as the From email address. However, when the person registering gets their confirmation email, it’s showing from taryn@chimpmediaworks.com, which is my email address as one of the site Admins.

Hi,

The Event Admin or the author/creator or the event will be the sender for the email. The registrant/attendee will also receive an email confirmation.

Its sounds like you are wanting to send a copy to an additional party.

You can edit the event admin recipient for the Registration approved admin and update the TO field to send to an additional email (add a comma and then the additional email). Then save changes.

Hmmm. I did find that setting and tried it out, but nothing. I’m using the shortcode for the company email and from within the message template, I put the company email shortcode in the From field in the Primary Registrant email. That is working. However, nothing I do for the Event Admin as recipient message template is working. Those emails are not going out at all. If I put anything in the To field on the for Event Admin as recipient, even a test from within the message template screen will not go through. If I leave the To field blank, I can send a test just fine. But no Admin email is being sent out when someone registers. The messages somehow aren’t getting out of the website and even to the Mandrill app – it doesn’t recognize anything was sent. If I send a test email from the Mandrill plugin on my website, that goes through just fine. It’s only from within the EE system. Any ideas? This is pretty critical.

Thanks!

Try this:

If it doesn’t work, then try an alternative email address to rule out issues with a specific email account.

This seems to be working, but if I use the shortcode by itself, nothing happens. I have to use the shortcode along with typing in the email address to get it to work – the email address by itself doesn’t work, either. I wonder what’s going on with the [CO_FORMATTED_EMAIL] shortcode? It works fine when used in the From field, but not in the To field.

Thanks!

Could you try resetting that email messenger through the editor?
