one last question before i got to bed. I have been playing around adding the add invoice link to the confirmation email. it appears to work but when i open the pdf the following is rendered to my business name
110 Dalley Street<br
/>Mullumbimby,NSW<br
/>Australia<br />2481

Any ideas ?

Hi Brent,

With 3.1.36 (which you just recently updated to ;)) this should no longer be an issue.

If you go to Event Espresso -> Payment Settings. Invoice payment settings. Can you see any
tags within the text fields there?

If so remove those tags and save the settings.

Hi Tony

I added a new test booking after doing the update to the latest version and the problem still occurs. I deleted the text in the payment settings as you suggested and re entered plain text but the error still occurs exactly as described above.

perhaps a clash with my theme ?? im using edu 1.0 by smoothemes.

I believe my web developer may have uploaded the theme to you guys to solve a previous ( now resolved ) calender issue.

thanks so much for your time

Hi Brent,

It isn’t the theme causing this issue, changing the text should resolve it. I couldn’t find a test event to register for so I did a random registration (sorry about that) but the invoice wasn’t active.

I would try doing a cache clear if you have any cache plugins running. Or perhaps a quick deactivate Event Espresso and reactivate it just to refresh the settings.

Hi Dean

Sorry for dumb question but im way out of my depth.
I will try the deactivate and active event espresso but im not sure what a cache plugin looks like or how to clear it.

Hi,

No such thing as a dumb question. Caching plugins normally help speed up a site, but if used incorrectly (which is very easy to do) they can cause problems. Event Espresso cannot be cached. Common caching plugins are: WP Super Cache and W3 Total Cache.

If you don’t have anything like that you could try just clearing your browsers cache (http://support.hostgator.com/articles/getting-started/how-do-i-clear-my-web-browsers-cache).

If the cache clear and the deactivation/reactivation don’t help, then please send me login details to look at it in more detail.

Send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

NOTE: login details need to be Admin level and FTP details are appreciated.

Hi,

I went in and activated the invoice, re-saved the options and it seems fine now. I have since deactivated the invoice.
