Closed Events not accessible after update but they can be seen in background

I updated to the new version of EE. After dealing with the server error, New Events can finally be seen and accessed but Closed Events can’t be seen or accessed through Event Overview and they are showing up in the background of a page. Look here at the bottom left.    http://www.cookingwithnina.net/register-for-class/

Any suggestions?

Hi Susan,

Was the upcoming events widget template customized before you updated?

I checked and it looks like there are two widgets that display classes, but the first one looks quite a bit different than the standard upcoming events widgets.

How are these widgets set up?

I have no idea where that second widget came from. Everything looks the same as before, with the exception of the events showing up in the background. I could see through Firebug that it appears to be a widget but that was not set up by me. ?????

Was there a developer involved with building the website who built some custom widgets?

No, I did everything. It’s like the pre-update event info is going to a new widget that didn’t exist before. I’m also curious why I can’t see the old info in the Event Overview. I was told it wouldn’t be a problem updating form the free version to a personal license.

Hi Susan,

There are some settings in the paid version that do not exist in the lite version. They’re in Event Espresso>Template settings, so if you check there first it may help.

With the widgets, how are these set up? They look like they’re widgets that are set up across the site, which would be handled by the WordPress theme’s appearance -> Widget settings screens. Or does the theme that you’re using have its own way of setting up widgets?

I used iThemes Builder. Widget sizes and placement can be customized, which is what I did.

I was able to fix the problem. I did some testing, by process of elimination I was able to determine which widget content was importing on it’s own and deleted it from said widget. Thanks.
