Cleanup of old Event Espresso installation

We have deactivated and removed Event Espresso 4 from our website as we no longer had a need for this level of product. When we deactivated and removed the product, we thought all was clean. Upon further investigation we have determined that many of the database tables and the respective date is still there, and we would like to remove it to streamline and shrink down the overall size of our site. Can anyone provide us with a list or an easy way to identify all of the Event Espresso table within the database so we can begin a process to manually drop and remove those tables. With EE gone, is there any concern we should be aware of if we continue down this path? Any help or advise would be appreciated.

Hi John,

If you are 100% sure that you don’t need any of that data anymore then the best option to remove it is to actually reinstall Event Espresso as we have an option for EE to do it for you.

Do you know which version of Event Espresso 4 you had active?

In short:

1. Create a database backup, just to be safe.
2. Reinstall and active Event Espresso 4.
3. Go to Event Espresso -> Maintenance -> Reset/Delete Data.
4. Click the ‘Permanently Delete All Event Espresso Data’ to drop all EE data/tables from the database and de-active Event Espresso.
5. Delete EE4 from the site.
