Hi, I have a special request and think that maybe your solution..is the solution (i hope so, because nothing exist like this) I want to create a city pass. What I need. Once the client go to visit one of the partners, when he decide to buy something he shows the pass (qr or bar code printed on his daily pass). The partner can like this verify (with a scanner) if he can gives the discount to this client. It also mean that every daily pass can be used on different partners shop on the same day by the client! My dream would be to be sure to know how much this client spent in this partner shop, but its probably impossible. At least i want to know in which partners shop my daily passes clients have spent their money. You understand what I want to say ? Other option would be to be able to sell different kind of daily passes (for ex for 1 person, for 2 persons, for family, restaurant-only ticket…) and be able to know not only how many clients bought (attended) something to my partners shop but also which kind of tichet they used… I dont speak perfectly english i hope you unnderstand my needs, because it’s been a long time that I’m looking for a way to check if a client bought something on a partner shop… and found no other solutions.. Waiting to hear from you soon |

Hi Fulvio, Thanks for your interest in Event Espresso. Have you tried our EE4 test drive yet? You can do so for free over at http://demoee.org. It might give you a clearer idea whether EE can work for you or not. In theory EE could work for you, but I don’t think that it would be ideal. For example, you will need to create 365 or more events per year, which will all be by hand in EE4, though EE3 has the Recurring Event Manager that can automate the creation of duplicate events. You will also need to give the partners access to the admin of your site in order to scan the tickets. Their capabilities can be limited though, especially in EE4, but it would require an additional plugin to control the capabilities as we haven’t built one for EE4 yet. The confirmation of purchase, without custom development, would only be by marking them as attended via scanning their ticket. There is also no notifications for this. There would be no option to record what was purchased. So, while in theory EE could be used, I think it would still require some custom development. Honestly I think your particular set up might be best served by a fully custom built system. As mentioned, you might want to give the test drive a go, as that will give you a clearer idea. |
