Changing the URL

Is there a way to make a custom url for a particular event? Right now the direct link to our registration pages looks like: http://www.eventsignup.org/event-registration/?ee=28

Is there a way where we could make it something like this: http://www.eventsignup.org/event-registration/pendleton-5K

I thought I could do this by changing the short URL on the event, however, when I do that it doesn’t save it.

Hi Greg, Event Espresso 3 does not support custom URLs.

This is supported in Event Espresso 4 which uses custom post types. Here is an example of a URL in Event Espresso 4:

http://example.com/events/my-summer-event/

Thanks…are you aware of any plugins that would allow us to make this work? We haven’t even been using EE3 so we aren’t ready for a change yet. We had to go with EE3 because at the time EE4 didn’t have Stripe addon.

Hi Greg,

There isn’t a plugin that changes the EE3 event permalink. You could activate the create a post feature which will end up creating WP posts for each event, which can all have pretty permalinks.

Or you can migrate to EE4 which now has a Stripe Gateway available.
