Dear Event Espresso staff,

I am looking to remove a few different parts of the PDF invoice created by Event Espresso.

How can I remove the VAT/Tax Number section or change the name of it to something else?

How can I remove the timezone in the invoice (Pacific/Guam) while keeping the rest of the time information?

How can I remove the taxes section?

Thanks for your time.

Kind regards,

Dominic

Also, I am using Event Espresso 4.

Another question:

Emails sent from Event Espresso (eg. the registration email) say that they are from WordPress. Is there a way to change this?

HI Dominic,

Let me get back to you on the invoice template changes.

In regards to the emails sent from WordPress. This happens if the site admin or the user that created the event has not entered the personal information such as first and last name.

Okay. Regarding the invoice template. I think you might be able to copy the invoice directory that is located in /wp-content/plugins/events-espresso/modules/gateways/Invoice/ into the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways/ directory. So file structure should look exactly like this:
/wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways/invoice/

Once the files are copied over, you should be able to customize the file named /invoice/lib/templates/invoice_body.template.php to your needs.

Please note that I have not tested this recently with Event Espresso 4.1, so hopefully this method still works as expected.

I hope that helps. Please let us know if this works.

Hey there,

I haven’t tried this out yet – will get onto it. Would it be possible to send the invoice out via email for people purchasing tickets rather than the registration email?

Hi Dominic,

You can change the confirmation email to include the Invoice using the [invoice_link] if that helps?

Where would I implement the [invoice_link]? I have tried to implement the link in each section though I receive the following error. ([event_list] changes based on the section. Still same error.)

An error has occurred:

The following shortcodes were found in the “[EVENT_LIST]” field that ARE not valid: [INVOICE_LINK]

@Dominic sorry for the confusion with the [INVOICE_LINK] shortcode in the email. Transaction shortcodes are only available with payment related message types (screenshot: http://www.screencast.com/t/jpBKCuhsqts).

Does that help?
