How can I make it so the browser tab say “Register” instead of “Events”?

Hello,

It can be changed by using a gettext filter which can be added to your site via a site specific plugin or your child theme’s functions.php file:

In the example in the link above, change REPLACE ME to Register.

Just to note the above also changes the /events/ slug to /register/

This won’t cause any problems unless you are link directly to /events/ expecting the EE event list.
